I'm back!!!

Herbal Soup!
Hi! I'm back. Despite a very busy 2 weeks, I'm still alive and boiling soup. Yup! I boiled this herbal soup which I don't know what its name is. For those of you who knows chinese and can read the 3 letters, please let me know. All I know it has a bit of ginseng, and suppose to "Tai Sun" in Cantonese. This time I didn't use "old chicken" but I used half "Kampung" chicken - choy yin kai with a packet of the pre-pack herbal ingredient. Kampung chicken is more expensive but the soup turn out to be yummy!

On Tuesday, I boiled "old cucumber soup" - lo wong kua which I have boiled before but today I made our "Aunty Janett's" home recipe "Corn soup".

4pcs of sweet corn
500gm of pork bones
About 20 red dates
some "Kei Chi"
It's very sweet and nice. Enjoy!!

Food corner!

Some food to share otherwise it's not Jenny's blog ha! ha! The first dish is roast goose - room service upon arrival. Didn't want to go out. The other one is the famous dish in Zhouzhuang - pork knuckle. Zhuozhuang is Mr Zhuo's village. A rich man in this village loves pork knuckle (it's a rich man's dish), so, this dish became very famous in this village. I've not tried it yet but I bought some home... will update you when I've tasted them.

Shanghai Experience!

Hi! Everybody, this is Shanghai, a city will of highrise buildings and wide roads. If you think KL traffic is bad, come over to Shanghai and experience it yourself.
Shanghai's Longgest Shopping Street (Nanjing Road) - I left a lot of my sweat & footprints there.
If you want to see more photos, register and view from my facebook (on my blog's righ hand panel)
SUZHOU
This is Suzhou. A city that is full of gardens built by the rich man. Very calm and serene. We visited 2 gardens out of the 9 gardens there. The first one is full of lotus and the second of is full of rocks that shape like lions.
ZHOUZHUANG

Zhouzhuang is known as Little Venice. The whole village is surrounded by canals.

MY DEAR BAKER FRIEND
This is Ps Kay, our office's official baker. Will miss all her baking when she leaves for Dubai next month. BUT I got hold of some of her recepi for the bread. Mm... let's see if I can be her successor. Ha! ha!

MY SUPER MUMMY!
This lady below is my super mummy. She slip and fell as she was about to go to the toilet. Results, she broke the head of fermor, fracture L2 of her backbone and hairline fracture on her right hand. Had an operation to remove the fractured head and replace an artificial one.

God has been very good, she is now recovering at home and learning to walk slowly. We were also blessed to find a temporary maid. This incident has given my sis & I opportunity to pray for her and Jesus has truly answered our prayer. It's a miracle she is well because she fell at 6am and we only knew at 1.30pm. (7 hours in pain) She hasn't taken her high blood pressure's medication yet her pressure did not shoot up and there is always possibility of stroke. This incident reminds me that we need to always covers our family in prayer as we Christians are always at "war". Thanks to those who visited, prayed and sends their concern for my mum.

Watercress (Sai Yeong Choi) Soup!

Good morning, yesterday was a busy day so I didn't update my Tuesday Soup and if you can see I forgot to take a photo of how the soup should look like once it's boiled. Ha! ha!

Anyway, the reason for boiling this soup because it's cheap. I went to the market yesterday with only RM10 (that's all I've yesterday). After buying somethings for people, I was left with RM4. Mmm... what soup should I boil? I look around and saw this "young version" of watercress and it only cost me RM4.

This is also the first time, I'm boiling this soup and it turns out "ahem!" not bad.

Ingredients: (this recepi is for 10 servings)
1/2 portion of chicken bones, 500gm of pork bones, approx 30pcs of red dates and RM4 of watercress. Lastly don't forget to add salt.

No Soup Week!

Good morning everyone! Sorry to disappoint you... there will not be any soup recepi as I'm starting my 40-days' prayer and fast. I'm fasting daily tough but have not been pushing in prayer a lot.... (Still trying...)
But I guess, it is really a good time to reflect of what God is saying to us as a nation of Malaysia. One thing I do know have changed. I'm starting to have more compassion for the government school teachers. Let's pray together. Sometimes we gave up even before we start. Let's do it even when we know we can't complete it but guess what?
Jesus is faithful to complete them. AMEN!!

Malacca Trip!

Wesley Methodist Church

The Malacca Ladies Christian Fellowship (MLCF) organised a seminar on "Womanhood" and has invited our Ps Lee Choo as their speaker. Our journey starts at 6.30am on Saturday morning and ended at 9.45pm. It was great both the seminar and the food.

Firstly, let me introduced the church where the seminar was held. They have a beautiful baptismal pool behind the pulpit.

We went to Nancy's kitchen for a quick lunch. Yummy!! Nyonya food. Only managed to take a photo of the "pai ti" the rest were in our stomach.... too hungry forgot to take photos. The restaurant is located near "Jonker's street".

After the seminar, we went for "Tong Sui" at this place called the
The 'bo bo cha cha' is very nice... followed by durian chendol at Tan Kim Hock Hotel. .

and we ended our day with 'satay celup' with my 2 friends - Troy and Janice. They are a newly married couple in their early 20's..... answered God's call to plant a church in Malacca....

WoW for God!!
