No Soup Week!

Good morning everyone! Sorry to disappoint you... there will not be any soup recepi as I'm starting my 40-days' prayer and fast. I'm fasting daily tough but have not been pushing in prayer a lot.... (Still trying...)
But I guess, it is really a good time to reflect of what God is saying to us as a nation of Malaysia. One thing I do know have changed. I'm starting to have more compassion for the government school teachers. Let's pray together. Sometimes we gave up even before we start. Let's do it even when we know we can't complete it but guess what?
Jesus is faithful to complete them. AMEN!!

Malacca Trip!

Wesley Methodist Church

The Malacca Ladies Christian Fellowship (MLCF) organised a seminar on "Womanhood" and has invited our Ps Lee Choo as their speaker. Our journey starts at 6.30am on Saturday morning and ended at 9.45pm. It was great both the seminar and the food.

Firstly, let me introduced the church where the seminar was held. They have a beautiful baptismal pool behind the pulpit.

We went to Nancy's kitchen for a quick lunch. Yummy!! Nyonya food. Only managed to take a photo of the "pai ti" the rest were in our stomach.... too hungry forgot to take photos. The restaurant is located near "Jonker's street".

After the seminar, we went for "Tong Sui" at this place called the
The 'bo bo cha cha' is very nice... followed by durian chendol at Tan Kim Hock Hotel. .

and we ended our day with 'satay celup' with my 2 friends - Troy and Janice. They are a newly married couple in their early 20's..... answered God's call to plant a church in Malacca....

WoW for God!!

Sunday Morning!

This morning as I was reading John 14:15-31, one verse caught my eyes. The first being "if you love me, you will obey what I command".

Interestingly, yesterday Ps Paul Ai shared something very interesting. He shared about asking his member in Vietnam to go Malacca to help the church there for 2 months. When his member replied, I'll pray about it, he answered "it's ok then, I'll look for another person"..... (If you want to know what happend next, buy the CD ok)

Straight away one thought came to me, when Jesus calls His disciple, "Follow me" most of them just leave everything and follow Him. As for me, I believe that we need to be connected to Him daily to know His heart so that when the time comes when our Lord Jesus calls us, are we ready to go without saying I'll pray about it first. Mmm... will ponder of this.....

KIDZONE RECRUITMENT DRIVE!!

Breakfast or Tea Break Menu

Good morning! The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. Amen!

How to run a right race and not a rat race? As for me, it's always a good breakfast time with the Lord. There are times when I missed a few days here and there but the moment I had "the" time, it's excellent. I really like my reading today - Jesus has the keys! Keys to where? Keys of death and Hades (Hell!!)

Once a new convert was asked by his family "Why have you turned your back on the faith of our Fathers? He answered them by saying "It is like this: if I were going down a road and came to a fork in the road and didn't know which way to take, and if there were 2 persons there - one alive and the other dead - from which of them do you think I would ask the way? Isn't that amazing? Thank you Jesus for affirming me and I trust that it will affirm those who are reading this as well.
Freshly baked sausage and red bean buns. It's our baker again. She's in the mood of baking and everyone in the office gets to enjoy them. Yummy!!

It is my goal to learn how to do this as I enjoy bread very much. I'm a breakfast person. Actually it's very easy, just get a bread machine that can knead dough (for lazy people like me).

Step 1: Machine knead the dough for about an hour.
Step 2: Put in the sausage and red beans for design (this you need a sifu).
Step 3: Wait for the bread to proof (the last time I didn't know this step, guess what?
My bread was as hard as a rock)
Step 4: Then bake them for about 30 minutes (I think, ha! ha!)
Then we can eat.......

BREAD MACHINE!!

If you are as "lazy" as me, you can get a bread machine and throw in all the ingredients. Press 2 buttons and wait for 2.5 hours for a loaf of bread like what you see here.
Both are nice and yummy! Enjoy!

Do you value the Bible you own?

As I was clearing the lost and found box today, I realise the amount of bibles that were not claimed by their owners. Well, a reminder to all of us, please put down your name and contact number in the bible so that you can be contacted if it has been misplaced.

Thursday's tea break - APPLE MUFFINS!

Yup! that's what we had for tea yesterday in the office. It was yummy! Thanks to our beloved baker in the office.

Sorry... no recepi available. Enjoy the picture ok?

Soup of the Day!

As most of you are aware, my greatest achievement after joining a ladies cell and working full-time in SIB is learning how to cook.. to be more specific actually is only how to boil soup. Ha! ha!
For those of you who have tasted my soup, do you know you are so blessed because Mike hasn't tried any of them yet. Need to practise more first before I can present on my home's dinner table.
Yesterday, I made ABC soup and for those of you who are interested, here is my recepi (about 10 serving)

2pcs of Chicken bones (the one with some meat on it)
4 carrots, 4 big onions, 6 medium sized potatoes, 2 big tomatoes in 4 litres of water
add about 20 white pepper seeds (crush them before putting in)
That was my lunch and dinner.

Thought of the day: YA Zone Prayer meeting.
It has always been my struggle to pray. I guess there is still this fear of am I praying it right. Will I have enough words or even my question of the day "How do I prepare myself for prayer meeting?"
God is good and I believe He is. We were reminded in NewLife class that prayer is connecting with God. At the very begining of the prayer meeting when we sang "Kau, yang terutama", my tears just flow and God affirms me that prayer is not us trying to connect with Him but that He wants to connect with us. Wow! It then reminds me that God is always pro-active. He loves us and demonstrated His fatherly love knowing that we don't have "perfect" fathers. When God calls us into His family, He gave us the right to call Him our Father. All we need is to come to Him and He will journey with us. Things around us might not change immediately but our relationship with our Heavenly Father has.
Would you accept His invitation?

Mega Sales is back!

It's mega sale again. I was at 1U yesterday waiting to fetch my niece Stella home. She was out watching Transformer with Kidzone Teachers. I saw mastercard was having a contest "Stratch & Win" and of course the condition is you must buy above certain amount.

Do you think people will buy that particular amount in order to participate in this contest or so happened they need to buy something of that amount? I'm just curious.

Recently Mike & I encouraged our god-son Thomas to collect both foreign and local coins and notes as his hobby since Mike travels so extensively. It's quite interesting. Anyone of you who have the same hobby can contact me.

MONDAY - My Off Day!!

Today is my off day and this is my favourite spot in the house for Monday. However, 6.30am is still my morning call as I need to fetch Thomas & Stella to school. As such, I usually reward myself with a nice spa & massage. Tried something new today known as the "Hot Stone" massage. Wow... it's very nice and relaxing. Yes! I'm ready for work tomorrow.

Sometimes I do ponder, since I'm working in church, am I involved in any "Rat Race"? I do having something in mind.... what do you think?

Ate so much!

It was a "full-filled" Saturday night out for the YA Camp & living room committee at Pinggiran Kiara Condo for dinner at Chee Loy & Ivy's place.

We had "Lam Yue" chicken by George's mum, spagetti, dips with carrots, cucumber & celery by Ivy who is really a good cook Kajang Sate sponsored by Ps Lee Choo and we ended with yummy dessert "Konyaku" jelly. Hungry!!

Cindy who represented the living room was there with us. God is good. We had a good sharing time. It is true that being in a committee of any event is not merely to complete the task (which we must) but the process of getting to know one another better.
